My Dark Rosaleen

synopsis

The book follows three interconnected storylines:  Hugo a small boy caught up in the Spanish Armada, wrecked on Western Ireland; Catherine a young rebellious Irish girl living in County Down at the time of the Easter Rising, and her subsequent life in Liverpool; and Rosaleen, Catherine’s granddaughter, who lives through the Liverpool blitz and gets drawn into the web of the IRA

Sadly the publishers of this book forgot to put it into Books In Print, gave it the above title (there was already a book of the same name in print).   Therefore despite an excellent review on BBC’s Woman’s Hour, the book was unavailable at publication date, and later impossible to order on the large chain’s computers which already had the other title registered on their computer system.

Morgan's novels are a hoot, and packed to the hilt with parody, drama, luscious costumes and gruesome re-enactments.
